The Many Faces of Expectant Parents Choosing Adoption

People who explore the adoption process for their babies come from all backgrounds and circumstances. An expectant parent considering adoption could be:

  • A teenager, young adult, or someone in their 30s or 40s
  • Single, married, divorced, or in a relationship
  • A student, unemployed, working part-time, or in a full-time career
  • A first-time parent or someone who already has children
  • Someone who has placed a child for adoption before or considered other options, such as abortion
  • A mother who feels she cannot parent again, is not ready, or has decided that parenting is not the right choice for her

She could be a friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker. Regardless of her situation, she may feel overwhelmed by financial struggles, a lack of support, or other life circumstances that make parenting difficult. She may also be facing challenges related to health, relationships, or personal goals. On the other hand, she might appear to have everything together but still feel that adoption is the best choice for her and her baby.

We are here to help – a Michigan adoption agency. We can figure out how to help pay your bills and you may even get help with housing during the adoption.
